Evansville NAACP to Host "History in the Making!"

1 st Annual Adult Talent Show in 2022

Evansville,Indiana – The Education Committee of the NAACP Evansville Branch, 3048-B will host its first annual public adult talent show in 2022. History in the Making! is planned to take place on Saturday, February 26, 2022, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., venue TBD. In addition to highlighting the history of Black entertainment, this multicultural event will feature local artist of all talents – singing, dancing, comedy, drama, etc. Prizes include a $1,000 First (1st) place prize and a Community Choice prize of $500 (Community Choice selection will be determined via online voting and open to the public).

This is sure to be a fun, entertaining, and very exciting night. Tickets go on sale the week of January 31, 2022. In-person audience capacity is limited. All others will be able to purchase a “Virtual” ticket to view/vote online.

We are looking for great entertainers! All are welcome. Must be 18 years of age or older.

Auditions are scheduled to take place Friday, January 21st, 2022, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, January 22nd, 2022, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Anyone interested in audition information, should email the word “audition” to: NAACP3048B@Gmail.com. There is a $25 non-refundable audition fee.
